I was asked by several to summarize responses to my query on where to
find job descriptions in technical communications, so ...

I had good success going to deja.com (http://www.deja.com/home_ps.shtml)
and searching for such things as "technical writer job description".

Similarly, searching for jobs at http://www.headhunter.net turned up a
plethora of job descriptions.

Job listings were also found at http://www.dice.com.

Descriptions of various editing services can be found at
http://www.editorsforum.org/defineServices.html.

Also suggested was Sun's Style Guide for the Computer Industry.

Thanks again to all,
Bruce Hensley
