I had a similar problem recently and sought a similar answer. I had no more
luck than you did. SHEDs are now rather passe', so I suspect that there
isn't any such beast as a SHED bit editor. SHEDs are altered bitmaps,
because the link data is encoded in them. If anyone has had success editing
the bits while leaving the masks intact, I'd sure like to know about it. In
my experience, once a SHED, always a SHED. You may have to start over.
That's one of the major drawbacks of doing lots of SHEDs in help files. It's
also why we don't use them often unless we know that the help file must be
optimized as far as possible.
