I have been looking for a font called "DIN" for occasional use with a
project I'm working.

So far, the only options I can find are to purchase it from Adobe ($99) or
from one of a handful of German sites ($149). The font is particularly
distinguished by its open-top "4" and its "1".

This font is evidently used in the transportation industry as an OCR font.
Its properties are evidently specified by ISO.

I don't suppose anyone has an easier (less costly) solution??
