This venerable founding father inspired at least one of his paramours to row
herself from Block Island to the Rhode Island mainland, near what is now
Westerly. This is a not inconsiderable distance in fairly rough water, with
many hazards and strong currents. The word I heard was this (unamed, or at
least, her name is not known to me) woman was a very strong lady and that
she would make this trip at least once a month (weather permitting), so
consuming was her passion.

Benjamin, while American Ambassador to France,
was know to, uh, enjoy the company of many,
many ladies, impressing even the French!
