Doing research on DTD for motorcycle/automotive.

Any ideas on where to start reading?
The Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE) has developed the J2008 DTD for the purpose of providing service information on automobiles.

Almost all of the world's automotive companies have adopted it as the standard. This is particularly true of US companies, who will be required by law to provide all service information in a standard format to facilitate compliance with smog control laws.
