Mike,

I'm reminded of a day a few years ago, when managers who'd been around for
20 years got PC's on their desk. They didn't know a c:\prompt from a
c-note, and didn't want to learn. I'd bet there are a fair number of folks
out there traveling who've had laptops forced upon them, lost their admin
assistants, expect everything to work like magic, and complain vociferously
when it doesn't. It's no big deal to add the info one or two succinct steps.
In 10 years, it probably won't be as necessary, but some of the most
brilliant business people around are still technophobes when it comes to
managing their own schedules or workload.

Hi,

I'd know.

IMHO, anyone traveling with a laptop would honestly be expect to know enough
to supports themselves to a certain extent. A traveler with a dead laptop
isn't very effective.

Cheers,

Mike.
