Greetings All!

I came across a documentation authoring software product called Author-IT
from Optical Systems Corporation, Ltd. It looks pretty robust for a
relatively inexpensive package, but I'd like to solicit opinions from anyone
who might be familiar with its capabilities. I wasn't able to learn much
about Optical, the publisher, from either their site or a search of the Web.
Author-IT was formerly known as AutoDoc.

What I'd like to learn is the product's strengths and weaknesses and a
little about the viability of the manufacturer from anyone who might have
some insight. I intend to use it as an all-around single-source content and
document management package. We currently author documents in Word 2000.
