Donald Knuth is one of the great men of computing. His " The Art of
Computer Programming" is a standard reference, his TeX typesetting
system is widly used, ...

One of his books, with a couple of co-authors, is "Concrete Mathematics".
Presumably this is as opposed to abstract math. Throughout the book there
are marginal notes, mostly humorous. Things like "All prime numbers are odd,
except two which is the oddest of all."
