The ALT 0149 character that Robert pointed out is really the best solution
for bullets in a spreadsheet. The Wing Ding font is ok, but remember if this
spreadsheet is going to be portable (sent to someone) they will have to have
the font loaded. So I suggest using the ALT 0149 (*) character.

As for Clippit.. it should die!

To get rid of Clippit in Office 2000:
1. Click Help > Show Office Assistant.
2. When Clippit displays click Options.
3. Clear the check box for Use the Office Assistant.

Clippit is now gone.. from Excel. You can do this similarly with Word as
