Kim, one way that had helped a great many individuals get started is to
go after temp positions as a techwriting beginner. Make up a resume that
makes the point, along with a brief introductory letter explaining your
purpose. It's pretty easy to get wide circulation of your resume via
Internet facilities. Offer to do any kind of support work--keyboarding,
proofing, etc. - Herm
