More than once while trying to fill a job vacancy, I've received resumes from former co-workers. One in particular was incredibly misleading. I worked with this person at two different companies. I was astounded to see that her resume contained a fictitious high-falutin' job title as the director of a non-existent department. She also used some creative math in summing up her years of experience. Because she worked on more than one project simultaneously and counted each task as full-time work, according to her, six months working on Project X while also working on Project Y added up to 12 months of experience.
