Ellen, you may find your answer on David Liske's site:
http://mvps.org/htmlhelpcenter/.
He has helped me in the past, and is a Help guru. I do know that the
glossary and browse sequence features do not work across merged .chm files.
The Index feature should work however.

>>My tech writer neighbor has merged several .chms as a step toward the
master
help that engineering wants. They merged fine, with one exception. The
Index tab in the left pane shows no content, tho each of the 3 projects has
been indexed individually. The other 2 tabs (Search and Contents) work
fine--books/pages are visible, etc.

What's up?

He's using RoboHTML 9 (also Word 2000) on a 64 mb RAM, Win98 machine.

Incidentally, on eHelp's site he found a patch that's needed to create a
merged TOC. He wonders if there's a similar patch for merged indexes in
RH9, tho neither he nor I can find it.

I've been to the TECHWRL archives but found no help.

TIA
Ellen Bauerle>>
