I'm not sure what to call the elements on an old 16-bit screen.

There are a couple dozen elements on each screen (how ever many would fit on
one screen).
Each element is a name and some (unmarked) space to type a value.
Are they fields, options, settings...?

They aren't "boxes" or "lists".
And the screen is not a command line interface.
It's like a GUI without anything but text.

Anyone know of guidelines for old DOS interfaces? I've tried the recent
techwr-l archives and the Microsoft site to no avail.

TIA
