a semester-length course in Usability Testing (at the graduate

our students, we invite both public and private sector organizations to

incorporates both hardcopy and online format to suit their customers wide
range of users and business environments. You will work closely with
engineering, technical support, marketing, and consulting organizations to
ensure that product documentation is accurate and effective. You will be
responsible for designing and developing documentation that augments the

Your ability to understand complex technical information and to convey

information in a clear, concise writing style suited to technical users in
production environments is critical. Writing samples will be required.
You will provide guidance and expertise to other members of the technical
documentation team. You may be asked to take on leadership roles in

represent Technical Publications in interactions with other departments.

Required Skills:
You will need a BS/BA degree or equivalent, and 5-7 years' experience in
software documentation production, preferably for commercial software
products. You must have experience in documentation technology and
documentation production processes.

Desired Skills:
Familiarity with both UNIX and Windows platforms is valuable. Knowledge of
object-oriented technology is highly desirable, as is knowledge of
Smalltalk, Java, C, or C++. Programming or engineering experience is
highly desirable.
