The one I was referring to is the Acrobat® PDF Bible by Ted Padova. It
received only 3 stars from reviewers because much of the content and
examples are aimed at Mac users but I've always been able to find the
information I needed (so far). There are other Acrobat books out
there...check out reviewer comments for them before putting down the cash.
