A good resource for computer book authors is http://www.studiob.com. There
is a lot of info there. Also, there is a mailing list on which computer book
authors discuss things, including contract issues. There is an archive of
the mailing list so you can see all the previous discussions regarding
contracts, advances, etc. Also, StudioB is an agency that specializes in
computer book authors.
