I'm reposting Holly's mail since it looks as though she is asking a question
rather than answering mine...

I would really like to know what format is the most conducive to resizing.
What is the best process to resize and maintain the quality of a screen
capture for print and online. I have no problem resizing a screen capture
and maintaining the perspective, but the quality (when reducing or
enlarging) always seems to be compromised. Do my computer screen settings
have anything to do with this? Currently, we are using JPEG for online and
TIFF for hard copy.

Holly,

We always had OK results using PCX, however, I am becoming a big fan of PNG since it is a lossless format, unlike JPEG. It also seems to have the ability to store all the color data while keeping the file size small.
