Re: Word 2000 Problem: View Header Footer Toolbar
I took over a document created by someone else in Word 2000.It sounds like you've fallen victim to one of Word's new "helpful" features. I happen to like it, but it's kind of unexpected. That is, When you open a menu, it at first shows only the items you've used recently or most often. After a few seconds, it drops open the rest of the menu.
I haven't used Word 2000 before and am stymied trying to view the
- I could highlight but not select Header and Footer check box
- Now as a result of desperate clicking, the Header and Footer check box
does not appear at all
Does anyone know what I need to do to view the header/footer toolbar?

So click View, and wait a few seconds. Then you can click Headers and Footers, as you expected to do.
