Andrew's post reminded me of a document I had some years back, lightbulb jokes
for the computer industry. Some parts were original, most of it was cribbed from
others.

I think the original is somewhere on a 5.25" disk, but here's what I can remember:

How many ... does it take to change a lightbulb?

Programmers:

It's a hardware problem. You cannot do it with programmers.

Microsoft programmers:
None. They declare darkness a standard.

Tech support people:
It works perfectly in my socket, sir.

Consultants:
One for the feasibility study, then we'll tell you how many.

Quality control specialist:
Checks whether the type of bulb used matches the spec for the socket.
If not, he or she changes the bulb.
If they match, leaves existing bulb in place.
The spec does not require that the bulb emit light.

Technical writer:
Writes instructions for changing bulb.
Tests instructions with user who has trouble with the instructions but does
get the bulb changed.
Calls in an engineer and observes procedure as engineer re-installs the
burnt-out bulb.
