I discovered yet another quick way to remove all traces of formatting &
coding weirdness, as when copying something from a Web site:
Paste it into the body of an empty e-mail message! It becomes plain text.
Then recopy the text from the message, and paste it directly into Word or
Frame. Even FrameMaker likes that just fine.

This is very fast and easy for me, since I always have e-mail open in the
background. Probably another reason it works is I've set up my Outlook 2000
e-mail is set up as Plain Text (not HTML or Rich Text -- in the Format
menu).

Is there a way to generate a table of contents and then convert it to plain
text?
