I've been tasked with finding a classification system for organizations and businesses that is recognized internationally. The only information we need are company name and the ID number, and we need to be able to pull it in from a database for use in a web-based system. The only thing I've found so far are the DUNs developed by Dun & Bradstreet. Does anyone else know of any such classification systems?

Thanks,

Kelly
