Thank you to everyone who has written to me with words
of encouragement about being laid off. I am starting
to feel better. I have a couple of leads, and I am
also looking into going back into nursing and doing
part time home care. My rationale is that it's a
different industry, so may not be subject to the same
downturns, and I have been missing taking care of
people. One of my leads is a part time editing gig and
if that works out I could do both types of work during
the week. If I get a full time tech writing job, I
could do home care on weekends. Yes, I like to work.

As you all have advised, I put together a kick-butt
resume and writing samples that have been reviewed by
my tech writing mentor-teacher. I am trying to relax.
You folks are the best.

Martha
