No kidding! I try to keep such things to a minimum, just enough to keep us
all on the same page in key areas. Still, with the wacky things some
writers do, I can understand the temptation to start formulating a bunch of
rules.

And even though it goes against my nature to get 'rule happy', I've had to
formalize standards in order to get rid of a bad writer because HR needed a
paper trail showing that the writer violated written procedures. Yuck!
