I suggest that your boss actually read some of the literature on the
subject, such as any book by Steve McConnell
(, then go to McConnell's consultancy web
site, and look at the classes and other resources
they offer. McConnell is nearly legendary amongst develoopers and highly
respected because he is a developer. There are lots of methodologies pushed
out there, and I think you have to be careful what you choose. The
development team has to be on-board and involved in deciding how they want
to change or it will never work.
