Ah, the enlightened connection. Techwr-l is very close to becoming a
community.
But, some folks don't want a community. They want to the point technical
questions and to
the point technical answers. Here are some
dashes - - - - - - - - - - - - -; please put them wherever
you chose in the preceding sentence. ;-)

Others sense the community developing so they banter, joke, kid, and do
other social
and "illegal" things.

Even the listowners don't see the developing community. What to do? Sorry,
but I don't have
any good answers to this question.
