RE: suggestions needed for teaching a introductory college course in technical writing

I must have missed the original post. Is this person looking for what type
of course to take? If so, I suggest any kind of practice course - one that
focuses on different styles of writing (procedure/proposal/resume (you read
that right)...). Then you can get a feel for what the field kind of is like.
And, if you're sold, start taking more practice and some theory courses. But
beware of the theory courses... sometimes they focus so much on theory that
you lose sight of practicality.
