Another trick to get you picked up on HR's radar is to give yourself a
title (or even better, a series of titles) at the top of your resume.

This is not necessarily your current job title, but what YOU feel is an
accurate description of what you do (or what you CAN do or WANT to do).

This way you make SURE your resume is top-loaded with the buzzwords you
want. This is particularly helpful if your company has given you a title
that might not immediately make sense to your reader. At our company, tech
writers are called Documentation Engineers, which may stroke the writers'
egos, but may also slip right through HR's resume-screening process!

This also circumvents the issue of lying about your title - you should use
your "official" job title when describing each position you've held, but
you've made it clear on the 1st or 2nd line of your resume what services
you're actually offering.

Hope this helps!
