Let me mince a word: Anyone who "gets into" a process or procedure should
be sure that governing each step there is an explicit escape clause which
says: "Get out, observe, think, review, revise." Otherwise, you are
dealing with a form, not a process or procedure. I think that is a the
correct distinction between a process and a form. As Andrew wrote, writing
is "sticky"(and it ain't the only sticky thing): both egos and forms are
essential to a quality process.
