Me:  I'm a technical writer for a robotics company.
Person:  A technical writer?  What's that?
Me:  I write manuals to tell people how to use the robots.
Person:  Wow, that does sound technical.
OR
Person:  Wow, that sounds tough/complicated/interesting/etc.
OR
Person:  Wow, I could never do that!
Me:  I enjoy it!
