Let me clarify one thing before I get any more email about how low that pay
rate is for Eastern Massachusetts. ;) That was the average pay range for
Albany NY after the turn of the year. There are exceptions, but that is,
from my personal observation, the average.

Eastern MA is thankfully much higher (as it should be - try finding a place
to live around here!)

In some areas, yes. In others, no. Some regions still feel it perfectly
acceptable to pay tech writers between $28k and $34k a year. :-/

So when's this "global presence" nonsense finally going to kick in for real
and include payroll in the scheme of things? ;)
