I've not seen or read the MS style guide but think that a lot of these odd
capitalisations come from a marketing angle. It looks good/fab/groovy. I
think it also shows how, despite all attempts to contain the language and
how it is used, the anarachist tendencies carry it off into a more
interesting future.
As for the word 'Dimmed', I think the answer to why it is used is in the
question....
