RE: pay per word

But then I'd turn around, if I were contracting with this writer, and say
"OK... I'll take all of the words... except the first one. I don't want that
word."

But then the second word would become the new first word, for which the fee
is due. Or is that too logical for the kind of manager who would ask a tech
writer to figure out a price-per-word?
