Thanks for the link to Courtney Love's ramblings. It was long, but

If anything gets my fired up, it's injustice.

If I could play Supreme Ruler, I'd establish copyrights to be the life
of the artist plus, say, 10 years. If the copyright belongs to a
corporation -- a non-living entity --, then I think we should go back to
the original intent of the U.S. Founders who established a much more
reasonable time limit for copyrights (7-14 years).

As one who believes in a higher source for life, intelligence, and
ideas, it rubs me the wrong way when humans try to put artificial limits
on creativity and innovation that built on copyrighted ideas.
