Happy Friday, everyone! Thought I'd add some nice words to the end of a long
work week.

I saw some procedures on one of our Web applications (accessed from our
extranet). The procedures needed a major rewrite. I talked with one of the
programmers over the phone, gently, and he welcomed the revision I created.
I just sent the corrected procedures via e-mail, and here's the response
from the programmer:

<snip>
Thank you much for the correction. I'll have the change implement on [name
of Web application] as soon as I can.

Like I always say that we, programmers, only know how to write code;
therefore, we need someone like you to watch over what we are putting out
there for the world to see.

Definitely, we'll need your help in the future.
</snip>

I share these words on the list because I bet he would say this to any of
you. For those of you who do not hear these words where you work, print out
this e-mail and hug these words to your broken heart. Let them heal you and
encourage you. You do matter!

P.S. Don't work this weekend. Take two days off and have fun!
