Jarnopol,

You may be speaking for your region, wherever
that is, but you're not speaking for a market
like New York City... it all seems to depend
on the market.

If you're an experienced TW'er and you're
not getting $50 an hour in NYC (esp. for
a short-term contract), then you're
probably a fool.

I come from a technical translating background,
have only 2 years' "real" TW experience under my
belt, and have earned well over $50 for contracting.
If you read Andrew Plato's Web site, I believe
he quotes experienced writers earning in the
$75-90 range.
