The best boss I ever had was a workaholic...I got e-mail from him regularly at 3am! But he was also the smartest boss I've ever had, and I've had more than one Idiot-in-charge -- (lately for sure!) What I remember from his tenure is that he was one of the few bosses who gave me full rein to co-create real programs, not just the cut-n-paste crap I've been forced to edit lately. I miss him seriously.

Andrew's right--we all have our own favorite/optimal pace for working/playing/living. (Sorry for the venting...it's the heat!)
