Gilda,

I have done several release notes with references to fixed bugs.  I have access
to the list of fixes, which for me can be overwhelming.  So, usually I enlist
the help of the Testing group or Development group (depending on the software).
We sit down and weed through the list to figure out what we think the customers
will find important.  I, then, also have their attention so I can ask questions
about the details about the bug.  So far, this has worked well (I've only been
in this position since October).
