Hey Glenn,

I wrote earlier about the copyright violations allegation(s), but my post
came back because I forgot to delete the footer. Arrrggghhhh......

Anyway, here is what I wrote to you then. I hope it still applies.

Hey Glenn,

"Uncanny" to say the least.

I think my first step would be to talk with a qualified, trustworthy
copyright lawyer. I would investigate to see if the Jeps site is really
copyrighted and if so, when it was first copyrighted. Anyone can put a
copyright symbol on a Web page, even if it is not copyrighted.

If WORDTEK has had copyright protection since January 1, 2001 and Jeps has
not, then possibly some infringement action could be initiated. I think
dates of copyrighting could be crucial in this case.

If Jeps is not copyrighted, then they have a big problem and some
heavy-duty explaining to do.

You are absolutely right, there *appears* to be some hard-core copyright
violation going on there! But I'm *not* an attorney, so take my two cents
worth with a grain of salt.

Take care and be good to yourself!

T

Subject: Copyright violations

Anyone have any experience with blatant copyright
violations of web page material? We just discovered
that someone copied almost all of our web site and
changed a few logos and names to create their own
site. Very odd for someone in our business who claims
to be a web site designer, but it happened.

Check our our site at http://www.wordtek.com and
his at http://www.jepspublishing.com.

Any suggestions would be appreciated,
Glenn MacEwen
