I would ask them if they successfully performed the things they needed to
do. I would give them a specific list. Stay benefit focused rather than
feature focused. Yes, they don't care about formats. They care about doing.

Direct mail works, because they produce different pieces and see which ones
get the best response. I think that if I were to survey about numbered
headings, I would have to produce docs with and without them.

I wouldn't survey on this issue. We are supposed to know when to and when
not to use numbered headings.
