I have the McConnell book, it is very good. There is also a web site related
to it at http://www.construx.com/survivalguide/

I have no experience with the other books, though Nielsen is highly
regarded.

You also might want to search the web with the term "interface requirements
specification" and related terms since there are some standards for these
which may be helpful to you.
