I just wanted to thank everyone who sent me replies.

I've talked with a couple other writers in other groups, and I'm working
more closely with another department (which is more directed) on
cross-dept work until I can figure out what the new group I'm in needs,
exactly.

I've also joined the Lone Writer group.
