Updating tables and table styles works differently than paragraphs and
paragraph styles in FM, Chris.

Once a table instance is created it doesn't retain any direct connection
to the table style for either # of columns or column width, and thus it
can't be updated by a change in the table style -- in these two specific
settings, each table instance is a standalone "clone" of the style.
Other settings, such as ruling or table titles, can be updated from the
table style.

[if you were using Miramo, you could programmatically and dynamically
vary every aspect of the table instance on demand ... :-) ]
