ObTechwr-l content: A few years ago, a co-worker with child-rearing responsibilities got to work at home most of the time and only had to spend 2 days a week in the office. When the work requirement became such that both technical writers were required to work all days at the office, so that we were both in constant communication with everyone else, he quit in a huff, and got a job closer to home.

This reminds me of the early 1970s, when I was pregnant and forced to take
maternity leave because the factory work was too hard on a pregnant woman.
