In Visio 2000, click Create New Drawing. Select "Choose Drawing Type..."

Select the Category "Software." Select drawing type "Windows User
Interface."

It seems pretty thorough.

Personally, I just use Paintshop Pro to forge screen captures. Our
developers asked me all about my fakes, wondering about the programming
behind each field. I kept trying to explain they were just drawings --
perfect fakes, but drawings nonetheless.

I just had to get them into Word documents (using Paste Special), so there
were no concerns about Framemaker or PDFs. When there were concerns about
precise color matches in print vs. screen I included hexadecimals or RGB
values.
