Greetings, all.

I am trying to transition out of teaching and into technical writing. Since leaving teaching in June, I have had one TW position which lasted less than 3 months.

I have an opportunity to go back into teaching(college level)and make about as much as I would if I stayed home and collected unemployment.

If I take another teaching position, instead of waiting for another TW position, do I shoot myself in the foot in the eyes of TW hirers, ie, by building up more time as a teacher, am I lessening the chance I have to succeed as a TW?

Thanks
