I agree with previous posts - I don't really see a reason to create/split
departments. Unless YOU have some reasons.

A coworker that I respect a lot has a saying that I really like:

"Work on being a good small company before trying to become a big
company."

Many companies are growth-crazy, as if increasing in size is the only way
to measure success. The recent rash of layoffs casts doubt on the notion
that growth is always good.

Bottom line: Is your organization broken? If not, don't fix it!
