OTOH, since this is a tech writer posting to a tech writing list, perhaps
the potential customer is looking for that skill--an opportunity, then, to
display it. Whatever is done, don't add (sic) to a direct quote to
emphasize the mistakes! Also, a lot to be said for being true to yourself,
here, or perhaps the old admonition from the song is appropriate: "be true
to your school." Did they ever have a "freaky friday" at yours?
