I didn't see anything in the respondent's message about *all* depressed people being whiners. He just opined that the presented set of circumstances did not constitute sufficient cause for depression. I gotta agree.
That doesn't mean I'm not compassionate toward people who are clinically depressed. I just don't think there's anything in Anon's post that warrants time off--heck, if stress were the only criterion, *most* people in high tech would be on disability leave.
