3. Try to put yourself in the shoes of the reader and write accordingly.
The last is, of course, the most important point. It is also, I'm afraid,
the one with the smallest chance of being taught. My impression is that
this is mostly a question of personality: Some people can view the the
world from another's perspective (imperfectly, of course) and others
simply cannot.
