The mechanism used to produce this effect is dynamic HTML (DHTML). RoboHELP
has offered this for a long time. I presume other tools have as well. eHelp
calls it "drop-down" instead of collapsible, but the idea is the same. There
is also an "expanding" effect that expands text horizontally when clicked.
